Making the most of Barrier mats

Mats can’t be placed just about anywhere. As the guardians to your home’s prestige and over all cleanliness, they have to be placed bang on, the door step. You can obviously vary the location a bit, but keeping entrance mats, at the entrance is a no-brainer. A better solution, is to keep two mats, one on the porch and the other on the front doorstep, just to make sure that all shoes proceeding from that point on are clean.

When people see a mat, they will automatically wipe their feet on it. Such sub conscious impulses are hard to avoid. Even kids, with some practice, can get used to this routine. Just place your barrier mats, at all the dirt entry hot spots, the steps leading from the back garden, on the door connecting the garage to the house, or any other place where you would think twice before walking bare feet.
